Playin' catch up!

Seems like the month of April has been crazy-busy!  I apologize but unfortunately I am gonna be playing "catch up" on this one!  As I said previously, the twins turned one on the 14th, here are just a few more pics of the special day.
More of Landon's soccer...his second game was on Saturday, the day of the birthday party so both sets of grandparents were able to see Landon play...or might I say just run, ha!
talkin' to the coach!
hey mom!
pre-game talk...ha!
no one has knees...haha!

On Friday, April 15th both Landon and Maddie had their Easter parties at school.  That morning before the party they had an Easter parade.  I have never experienced an Easter parade before but it was fun and the kids loved it.  Each class participated taking turns throwing candy to other classes and parents/grandparents!  Maddie made her little green bunny shirt and an Easter basket(from a milk jug) and Landon made a "bunny bag".
I'm not so sure about this!

A few Saturdays ago me and the kids went to Excel for the day.  Mom and Dad were so excited for us to come so they could show the kids the new playground.  As you can imagine they loved it or as Landon said "it was awesome"!  If you could have been in my backyard when I was little it was none other than AWESOME, thanks to my amazing dad.  Well, for the grand kids it was just the same.  The see-saw(you can see part in one picture) was made by my dad and I played on it when I was a little girl.  I didn't know that thing still existed!  Maddie didn't like it too much cause she thought it went too high.
First to try it out!
They enjoyed it!

All four wouldn't fit in the picture!
Spider-man showed up
and the babies got their own swing too!

Happy Birthday Rylee & Reagan!

Wow, what a milestone!  On Thursday, April 14th Rylee and Reagan turned one and what a year it has been.  I can't help pondering over the previous year and a half that led up to this special occasion!  Every time I begin to think back over the course of this year my eyes fill up with tears and realize just how much God was with our family and maybe you can understand why....In August of 2009, Grey and I found out we were expecting again.  It wasn't until the first appointment and ultrasound that we both started laughing when the ultrasound tech asked, "do twins run in your family?"  As Grey and I were coming to terms with reality that there would be TWO babies we were also faced with the biggest decision of our marriage.  Grey had the opportunity to advance his career with SouthernCare, which is great, it just meant one thing...we had to move.  As crazy as it sounded we felt like it would be best for our family so as of October 1st he was hired as the clinical director of the Daphne office but there was one condition...we(me and kids) would stay in Demopolis until babies were born and hopefully by then our house would have sold.  With the exception of a few visits to baldwin county, Grey would come home on Friday evening and leave for work Monday morning early enough to be there by 8am (a 2 1/2 hr drive).  The twins were born and after 8 months on the market our house in Demopolis finally sold, so July 4th weekend we moved our things in storage and were together again as a family, maybe a little too much togetherness!  We all piled in a one bedroom apartment which Grey and I never dreamed we would complete a one year lease which began in November 2009! I quote my mom "This too shall pass!"   When we were looking for Grey a temporary place to live we were trying to find somewhere we could break the lease without much of a penalty.  Forget that penalty! we just didn't renew the lease!  After searching and searching, and believe me I became very familiar with EVERY neighborhood in Daphne, Fairhope and Spanish Fort, we found the perfect home...the end was near!  On October 22nd we closed on our current home in Daphne and moved in the next weekend!  This past year has definitely been a roller coaster, and now as we celebrate Rylee and Reagan's one year birthday there is just so much more to be thankful for too!  You just really can't be thankful for what you have now until you realize where you have been.
Ok, back to the Par-tay!  We were able to celebrate with family on Saturday the 16th which also happened to be Poppie's birthday too (grey's dad).  If you are like me with first birthdays, the most anticipated part is the cake!  Well, I was hoping to have just one child that would just dig in and go for it but not the case...all I got was stares, a cry from Reagan, and "oh my gosh what is this cupcake as big as me doing here"!  They did great thru all the hoop-la and were thankful for all their many presents, ha!
lovin' the photo shoot!
quick pic with mom & dad
that would be reagan
can you get excited a little bit?

Soccer has begun!

Landon's little soccer season has officially started.  He is playing thru the local YMCA here in Daphne.  They only have a 6-game schedule and so far he has had 2 games.  His little group is made up of 4 & 5 year olds, boys and girls.  He is enjoying it although he doesn't quite "attack" the ball.  He loves running up and down the field but unfortunately he runs with the ball but on the outside of the cluster of kids who have the ball!!  They are definitely funny to watch.  Some little girls are turning cartwheels, others are rolling in the grass and some cry when they miss the ball, ha!  Yes, amusing to say the least!  His team color is white and team name....TEAM UNITED.  I know, I mean how about sandsharks or white lightning....oh well, it was the coaches choice.  I guess unity is good!  1, 2, 3- go team united!

Gettin' the jersey...yes it's a little BIG!

Landon chose #13

pre-game huddle...1-2-3 team united!
