Trip to Demopolis

This past weekend we headed to Demopolis...Landon and Maddie played "hookie" from school on Friday(oops!) so we left Thursday afternoon.  Since the end of hunting season is quickly approaching, Grey wanted to try and get a few good days in...well on that note he didn't get a thang!  Not to say he sure didn't try.  We had a great visit anyway and Landon got to go hunting with his dad one afternoon.  After all the talk from poppie of what good luck Landon brought when he went hunting(so many deer), they didn't see not one deer!  Landon did however enjoy the bag of snacks as he always does when going hunting, fishing, etc.  I think that may be the only reason he goes...

 On Friday night, mimi and poppie took Landon and Maddie to see the movie Yogi Bear...which they thoroughly enjoyed along with the two bags of popcorn and drinks!  Can I say Maddie and Landon LOVE popcorn...forget about the movie (ha)!

 Saturday, we were able to enjoy family.  Aunt Katrina and Frank drove in on Saturday to spend a few days. Uncle Brad...we missed you (as he was in Auburn celebrating with the National Champs....war eagle!)   Frank was definitely a little more taken with Landon and Maddie this time as they played well together...at one point Landon had a "little shadow" behind him.....Frank!  And of course Frank got some lovin' from the twins too!

 Nanee fixed some good ole' chicken spaghetti for lunch, so Uncle Kenny, Aunt Deborah, Shelby, and Matthew(or Ma-chew as Maddie says) and Amanda, his girlfriend stopped by to eat.  It was Kenny's birthday so Maddie and Shelby got to decorate the cake...well I think Maddie just dropped sprinkles in one place!

Along with ALL the toys, puzzles, trucks, cars, well you name it and it was out....Landon and Maddie drug every stuffed animal into the living room and for some reason wanted to take a picture.  So we did...and some REAL little ones made their way in it also!

 Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and we had to get back to Daphne on Sunday...thank you demopolis for a great visit!

I'm pooped!

Last Thursday Rylee and Reagan had their 9 month check-up...and according to Dr. Breslin "they look great!"  It is hard to believe that nine months have already passed.  Both did very well despite getting a shot and finger stick.  Reagan is still the bigger one...17# 12oz. and 28in long and Rylee is 17# 5oz and 27 1/2in long.  As you can see below they were "a little pooped" when we got home!

Happy Birthday Drew!

This past Saturday one of Landon's little friends, Drew, had his 5th birthday party at Kangarooz.  Landon was so excited.  For those of you who don't know, this place is an indoor facility with nothing but inflatables for them to play on....it was organized chaos with several parties going on.  He had fun playing with his classmates.  Grey and I both went with the twins(who did awesome) and of course Maddie.  It took her a while to "warm-up" but when she did she tried her best to keep up with Landon and the crew!

As I have said before, Maddie is definitely the "little momma"!  She was so proud last night that she had gotten her bed "ready for bedtime" all by herself...and of course we were instructed to go see.  After Grey did, he put Reagan there in the bed.  We were in the living room when I could hear Maddie ask the baby if she wanted to read a book.  Reagan must have said yes(ha). Without her knowing I secretly taped it from the door of her room.   The book is Snow White and somehow the three little pigs ended up in it and part of a christmas song from her preschool program.  Enjoy!

It seems to be the norm, when the twins are in close proximity, to "steal" each others pacifier!  I have to admit they did this one time while sitting on the floor and instead of me thinking of who I sat where I looked at the pacifiers...and yes I had them confused!  It wasn't until they woke up from their nap that I had put them in the wrong bed.  Oops!  Grey couldn't believe I could get my own children mixed up!  Ha!

To infinity and beyond....

Landon loves his super-heroes and I think has most of their costumes....batman, spider-man, iron man, and hulk just to name a few.  From time to time they make an appearance at our house....today it was Buzz Lightyear.  To go along with his suit, he got the "buzz lightyear wings" for Christmas.  Thanks nanee!  And might I say he has been wanting them for a very long time!  Isn't he just the cutest Buzz you have ever seen!  Not quite sure about his poses but...

Little Momma!

 Maddie, although she can be a "pistol" at times, is definitely a little momma.  Most of the time she is taking care of her bitty baby as I am taking care of  the twins.  She is often telling me "Shhhhh....my baby is asleep!" and I wonder where she has heard that!  As with her baby doll, she is developing her mommy skills with her baby sisters too. She asked me yesterday to "hold a baby" so I let her...and I think they like her!

Well...along with beginning C25K(which I have yet to start), this blog is one of my New Year's resolutions!  I  have wanted to do this for some time now and just procrastinated... so hear it goes! I'm gonna try...yes I said try to keep up with our current happenings as a family, so hopefully for those of you who we don't get the privilege of seeing often it won't feel like forever between visits!
