Rylee and Reagan are now 17 months old and it's hard to believe how fast time goes by! Both are doing great and are developing their own individual personality. As I said before, Reagan has been walking for about a month now and just recently Rylee decided she can walk(which I think she's actually been holding out on us!) We were outside the other day and she honestly looked like she had been walking for weeks. Of course at times you wouldn't know it as she prefers to still crawl on her knees..strange I know!
Reagan is the clingy bully! ha. She doesn't get too far without knowing where I am at all times. She LOVES her daddy and when he walks in the door she hollers da-DEEEEEEE! He calls her chuckles and fitting as she tends to "chuckle" all the time especially when tickled. She will take a toy if it's what she wants, very reserve around new people and when told NO she stops for a second, looks at you and repeats. Yeah, she is a tester. She's the better eater of the two, seems to be the better sleeper(if I can say that), rarely will they sleep past 7am or even to 7am but it's her most of the time if it happens!
She wears it like sunglasses, will not wear it like a crown!
The first to start climbing in the window sill
Rylee is the independent one. She is often content playing by herself with or without me around. Her nick name is "smiley rylee" as she seems to always show that precious smile! She LOVES her lovey, always making sure Reagan has her cup, lovey, pacifier, etc or will bring it to me if she finds it. She is more the motherly type. She likes to swing and slide where-as Reagan seems to be a bit scared of heights!
She found my drawer of strainers!
They both love books, love bathtime and absolutely LOVE Dora the Explorer! Try walking into a store when they spot a Dora balloon hanging at the check-out or spot ANYTHING Dora related...they are very loud!! Both adore their older brother and sister and are so excited to see them when we pick them up from school. However, especially with Maddie, it seems like I am saying "LEAVE THEM ALONE" alot lately!! Unfortunately they both like to play in the toilet too! Gross I know but we have caught them several times, clean toilet of course! They are responding more and more to simple commands bringing you something you ask far, finding their lovey or pappy, and putting things in the trashcan! I had a plate of grapes the other day on the table in the living room and when they had finished eating(not sure which one) but I was looking for the plate and without even saying anything she had taken the plate and put it in the trash can! I am amazed sometimes!

This is random....a picture of Landon and his teacher, Mrs. Bagley!
On August 23rd, Reagan finally, after 16 mos, decided she could walk more than three steps! Yay! One happy momma! I was glad for a while they were not yet walking but lately I am SOOOOOO ready for them both to be walking independently. It would make some things so much easier. Rylee is still attempting but she just hasn't got it yet. Might I say Reagan is everywhere in the house! It has taken getting some use to seeing here come around the corner strolling along on her feet. She still has a few falls but she is getting faster and faster each day.
This post is well overdue but I just havent' felt like sitting down to do it honestly and finding the time lately has been challenging too! Landon is finishing up his 3rd week of Kindergarten... I can't believe how time is flying by. He still seems just as excited about school although the homework part not so much. (not that they really have that much anyway!) Landon had a birthday(Aug 19th) shortly after starting school, so he is now the ripe ole' age of 6! We celebrated his Transformer birthday with a party with family and friends at the Eastern Shore Centre fountain. It was definitely a memorable one....just not exactly what we had in mind. About 30 minutes before we needed to leave Landon gets sick...yes upchucks everywhere! Can you say perfect timing! He seems to be a little better so we head on, pull up to the fountain...bottom drops out. Thanks rain. It doesn't last long and clears out. Landon makes it to his party, fashionably late(ha) and basically just sits and watches everyone else. Poor little fellow. We were able to sing happy birthday and he blew out his candle. After opening his presents, he had just about enough and was ready to go home. Whatever he had only last long enough to mess up a good time. By the end of the night he was ok.
my, my, my squeaky shoes! haha. These would be the first shoes that Rylee or Reagan has had on their feet. They are still a little big and of course do not go with their pajamas (ha) but funny to see them respond to shoes. Reagan found out immediately that they "squeak" and Rylee, well, she's still not sure about these things!
Today was the first day of school for Landon and Maddie. Landon was so excited about Kindergarten, he wasn't even finished with his breakfast before he asked when was it time to go. Hope he stays this excited about school always! Ha! Landon has about 20 little boys and girls in his class. His teacher's name is Mrs. Bagley and from "word on the street" (ha) she is great! One proud father was able to walk his son into school this morning and it works out that Grey can take him each morning on his way to work. Maddie is heading into the three year old class once again at Eastern Shore Baptist Church. She is happy to be going back. Her best little friend Lola is in the other class but they will see each other throughout the day and most activities are done together with both classes so that is good. She was a little apprehensive after me and the twins walked her in this morning but found out that one other good little friend from last year, Sam, was gonna be in her class! Her teacher is Mrs. Jenny and she has eight in her class. Grey and I are seeing our babies growing up too fast but are happy to see what the new school year brings!
We were able to take one last beach vacation with my parents the first week in August. The weathered cooperated wonderfully, no one got burnt (ha!) and we all had a good time. Maddie and Landon were little fish in the water while the twins were a little apprehensive. They eventually didn't mind the big pool however they didn't care too much for their flotation devices....both liked mom and dad's arms better! One of my favorite things about the beach is the FOOD. I am all about some good food and seafood at that. Although we had some good meals at the condo we enjoyed Cotton's, the buffet at Hazel's(can I say Grey and I put them out of business with their crablegs!) and Grey and I were able to have a date night where we tried Doc's Seafood Shack. All were very good. Grey and I have a tradition every year where we play putt-putt golf. Can I say PURE DOMINATION...yes by me!!! All of us took a ride on the Ferris Wheel at the wharf...which my dad was not excited to get on...but he was talked into it and couldn't believe Rylee and Reagan were gonna ride too. There is no trip to the beach without playing games or a go-cart ride. Boys v. Girls (Grey & Landon and Me & Maddie) Again, girls rule! Fun times.

We were privileged to have a visit from my Aunt Grace, cousin Kathryn and her girls Kylie and Lorie last week. They came Wednesday afternoon and unfortunately left after lunch the next day to continue on there trip. I have to say it was much to short a visit but enjoyed the company while it lasted! Landon and Maddie had a good time playing a little bit of everything with Kylie and Lorie and the twins didn't seem to mind either. As soon as they were pulling out of the driveway, Landon asked...."when are they gonna come visit again?" Ok Kathryn....like I said, yall are welcome anytime!
I have never really known to many 15 month olds who like sunglasses but both Rylee and Reagan LOVE them! They will keep them on for a while and once they remove them they insist you put them right back on. Aren't they so stinkin' cute?
A few Saturday's ago Grey needed a haircut and so we thought it was about time Maddie had her's cut too! Well, it's not much different from before just 3 inches shorter but much needed. It makes it a little easier to manage in that she is VERY tender-headed and hates to brush her hair most of the time!
Yesterday we had the opportunity to go see the Blue Angels and spend a day at the beach in Pensacola with some of Grey's family. With a little help from memaw and pawpaw, the twins stayed at home...I guess I should say BIG help!!! Grey's cousin Matthew lives in Pensacola now so we went over to see his new condo and spend the day with Deborah, Kenny, Matthew, Amanda(Matthew's girlfriend) and a few other people. What a fun day it was....and HOT! Landon and Maddie had a great time being bombarded by waves and searching for shells! Despite the heat, they were such troopers. The day began when we left for Pensacola around 7am and didn't return until after 5pm. Needless to say we were all spent but well worth the trip. I have always wanted to see the Blue Angels and it wasn't a disappointment. They were pretty cool!
