A visit from some Louisiana folks!

We were privileged to have a visit from my Aunt Grace, cousin Kathryn and her girls Kylie and Lorie last week. They came Wednesday afternoon and unfortunately left after lunch the next day to continue on there trip.  I have to say it was much to short a visit but enjoyed the company while it lasted!  Landon and Maddie had a good time playing a little bit of everything with Kylie and Lorie and the twins didn't seem to mind either.  As soon as they were pulling out of the driveway, Landon asked...."when are they gonna come visit again?"  Ok Kathryn....like I said, yall are welcome anytime!

Unfortunately, time to say good-bye!

Silly sisters!

I have never really known to many 15 month olds who like sunglasses but both Rylee and Reagan LOVE them!  They will keep them on for a while and once they remove them they insist you put them right back on.  Aren't they so stinkin' cute?

Maddie's haircut

A few Saturday's ago Grey needed a haircut and so we thought it was about time Maddie had her's cut too!  Well, it's not much different from before just 3 inches shorter but much needed.  It makes it a little easier to manage in that she is VERY tender-headed and hates to brush her hair most of the time!

Funny Rylee

I guess she decided her toe was better than what she was having for supper!!!

Blue Angels-Pensacola Beach

Yesterday we had the opportunity to go see the Blue Angels and spend a day at the beach in Pensacola with some of Grey's family. With a little help from memaw and pawpaw, the twins stayed at home...I guess I should say BIG help!!!  Grey's cousin Matthew lives in Pensacola now so we went over to see his new condo and spend the day with Deborah, Kenny, Matthew, Amanda(Matthew's girlfriend) and a few other people.  What a fun day it was....and HOT!  Landon and Maddie had a great time being bombarded by waves and searching for shells!  Despite the heat, they were such troopers.  The day began when we left for Pensacola around 7am and didn't return until after 5pm.  Needless to say we were all spent but well worth the trip.  I have always wanted to see the Blue Angels and it wasn't a disappointment.  They were pretty cool!

We're off to Kindergarden...

On May 25th Landon had his little preschool graduation program which was a Wizard of Oz centered theme.  They sang "We're off to Kindergarten",  "Follow the yellow school bus" and "Somewhere over the rainbow".  The other classes had their moment to shine too. Maddie's class were The Lollipop Kids and sang some "Lollipop" song and made special lollipop t-shirts.  A nice little reception followed in the activities building.  Meme, Poppie, Memaw & Papaw were able to make it for the special day.  The kids still  had two more days of school left but it was a little sad knowing his class would be heading in separate directions next year with the exception of 1 or 2.  Landon had a wonderful year and an awesome teacher Ms. Kris.  She made each child a personalized scrapbook with pictures of the school year including their class parties, trips and special days.  Needless to say...LOVED IT!

I can't tell you how excited Landon was about the last day of school, which Ms. Kris deemed "Pajama Day"!  He couldn't wait for it to get here!  They each could bring a stuffed animal and a movie to school.
